We have a female piercer who has 9 years experince and is registered with the local government. We have an air-conditioned studio and only use top grade titanium jewellery as this lessens the likeliness of allergic reactions to almost zero - Titanium is the metal usually used for pins and plates as it is bio-compatable.

Our hygiene standards are very high. We use a vacuum autoclave for our jewellery sterilisation procedure and disposable needles.

Under 16's must be accompanied with a consenting adult who will need to sign a medical questionnaire.

We pierce earlobes from age 7. Other body piercings are from age 13. Nipple and clitoral hood piercings are strictly over 18's only.

Over 16's who look younger MUST produce photographic I.D. to prove their age.

It is of the utmost importance and your responsibility to keep your piercing's clean to reduce the risk of infection.

People always ask what the risks are in body piercing. Piercing is a wound to our bodies and a break in the skin so throughout healing the piercing is open to infection. At the time of piercing you may have some bleeding and or bruising occuring. You can reduce the risk of infection by bathing your piercing, keeping it clean and dry and by keeping in the jewellery it was pierced with until healed.

Different people and different piercings make for varied results. Some people's bodies reject their piercing, this is usually due to over cleaning or changing your jewellery too soon.

At Health and Body we will give you writtent and verbal after care advice but your piercing homecare is completely your responsibility.
